  • Permanent Part-time: 16 hours per week with flexibility on hours.
  • SCHCADS Award LV3 hourly rates ranging from: $37 - $40.05 per hour.

Your Role

We are seeking dedicated individuals ready to bring compassion, respect, and a proactive attitude to our supportive community as a Support Worker.

As a Support Worker, you will provide essential support to clients in our Homelessness and Housing Services, working closely with them to offer hands-on assistance and help with entry and assessments.

Your Responsibilities

  • Client Support: Maintain an inclusive, trauma-informed approach to ensure clients feel safe, respected, and valued.
  • Case Collaboration: Support clients in line with their case plans, collaborating with the case management team to deliver well-rounded, consistent support.
  • Daily Operations: Help with the daily running of the site, ensuring a welcoming, safe, and clean environment for all.
  • Advocacy & Communication: Act as a client advocate when needed, liaising with internal and external resources to connect clients to essential services.
  • Creating a Welcoming Space: Make our site a welcoming, safe place for clients and visitors, overseeing site activities and managing the flow of people.

You Will Need

  • Qualifications: Certificate or equivalent experience in a related field, or ongoing tertiary study.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to high-quality customer service.
  • Team-Oriented Attitude: Ability to work independently and collaboratively, exercising sound judgment in crisis situations.
  • Non-Judgmental Approach: A compassionate, ethical approach toward clients and colleagues, maintaining an open, inclusive attitude at all times.
