Senior Executive - Communications, Engagement and Education

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Quality and Safeguards Commission plays a crucial role in ensuring safe, high-quality supports for people with disability.

This senior executive position will lead the Commission's national communications, engagement, and education functions, shaping strategies to build awareness of NDIS participant rights, strengthen provider capability, and enhance the Commission's reputation as a trusted regulator.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans to achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Oversee the creation and dissemination of educational resources for NDIS providers and workers, outlining their obligations under the NDIS Code of Conduct.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including the NDIA, governments, and the disability sector.
  • Evaluate and ensure that all communications are inclusive and accessible, adhering to WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
  • Pursue innovative digital opportunities to reinforce the Commission's communications and engagement approaches.
About You:
  • Extensive experience in senior executive roles, focusing on communications, engagement, and/or education, preferably in regulatory, disability, or human rights contexts.
  • Demonstrated leadership, strategic influence, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A commitment to the rights of people with disability and inclusive practice is essential.
