Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Hardware Engineering Team Lead to join our client's team in Brisbane. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the hardware development team in the design and development of cutting-edge electronic products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and Inspire a Team

Lead a team of RF, hardware, and mechanical engineers, specialising in electronics, PCB design, and mechanical design.

Mentorship and Guidance

Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical expertise to team members, promoting their professional growth and development.

Technical Bid Responses

Support collation and review of technical bid responses and engineering estimates.

Design Standards

Ensure adherence to design standards.

Collaboration and Communication

Build strong working relationships with corporate functional engineering managers to share and leverage training, processes, tools, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or a related technical field.

Experience

Extensive experience in RF or hardware development, with expertise in electronics, PCB, and mechanical design.

Leadership Experience

Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role, overseeing hardware development teams.

Registration

Registration with the Board of Professional Engineers in Queensland is required; Engineers Australia CPEng preferred.

Technical Skills

Strong technical background and knowledge in hardware design principles, methodologies, and best practices.

Software Proficiency

Proficiency in hardware design tools and software, such as Altium, Xpedition, Cadence, or similar.

Mechanical Design

Familiarity with mechanical design principles, thermal management, and enclosure design.
