Postdoctoral Research Fellow

The University of New South Wales is seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team in the School of Chemistry. As a Postdoctoral Fellow, you will play a critical role in conducting pioneering research into the design, synthesis, and operation of artificial molecular machines.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced artificial molecular machines, exploring the intersection of organic synthesis, supramolecular chemistry, and molecular engineering. You will work closely with our research team to develop, optimize, and implement novel molecular systems, pushing the boundaries of what is achievable with synthetic chemistry.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct independent research to enhance the quality of research outcomes in supramolecular chemistry.
- Contribute to the development of research activities, including the preparation of research funding applications and the dissemination of research outcomes.
- Collaborate with the research team to create scholarly output that is recognized by peers.
- Write and contribute to the production of high-impact research publications.
- Support the supervision and mentoring of research students in the research area.
- Actively engage in community outreach and the implementation of translational research.
- PhD in chemistry or relevant work experience.
- Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake high-quality academic research and conduct independent research with limited supervision.
- Demonstrated track record of publications and conference presentations relative to opportunity.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines, and build effective relationships.
- Evidence of highly developed interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with a diverse range of stakeholders and students.
