Postdoctoral Research Fellow

The School of Chemistry at UNSW Australia is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team of researchers in the field of supramolecular chemistry. As a Postdoctoral Fellow, you will play a critical role in the development, optimization, and implementation of novel molecular systems, working closely with our research team to push the boundaries of what is achievable with synthetic chemistry.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct independent research to develop and optimize artificial molecular machines, with a focus on supramolecular chemistry.
- Collaborate with the research team to design, synthesize, and characterize new molecular systems, with a focus on emulating the efficiency and precision of biological molecular machines.
- Contribute to the development of innovative molecular technologies, with a focus on advancing the field of supramolecular chemistry.
- Write and contribute to the production of high-impact research publications, with a focus on disseminating research outcomes to the scientific community.
- Participate in and/or present at conferences and/or workshops relevant to the project, with a focus on sharing research findings and collaborating with other researchers.
- Assist in the preparation of research funding applications, with a focus on securing grants to further advance the field of artificial molecular machinery.
- Support the dissemination of research outcomes through appropriate channels and outlets, with a focus on sharing research findings with the broader community.
- PhD in chemistry, with a focus on supramolecular chemistry or a related field.
- Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments, with a focus on staying current with the latest research in the field.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake high-quality academic research and conduct independent research with limited supervision, with a focus on producing high-impact research outcomes.
- Demonstrated track record of publications and conference presentations relative to opportunity, with a focus on disseminating research outcomes to the scientific community.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines, and build effective relationships, with a focus on working collaboratively with the research team.
- Evidence of highly developed interpersonal skills, with a focus on communicating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with a diverse range of stakeholders and students, with a focus on sharing research findings and collaborating with other researchers.
