Manager of Sewer Network Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our team in driving effective leadership, providing input into strategic planning decisions, and overseeing project delivery.

  • This role requires a qualified Engineer (Civil, Environmental or related) with 10+ years of experience in leadership, sewerage system planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping abreast of changes in legislation, regulatory requirements, and technological innovation. They will also ensure compliance with regulations and health and safety protocols, and participate in incident management teams for large-scale incidents.

A key responsibility of this role is leading a rostered after-hours duty team, responding to emergencies, and providing incident support as needed. You should be registered as a Professional Engineer in Victoria (CPEng preferred).

In addition to the above qualifications, you should have excellent stakeholder and conflict management skills, a customer-focused attitude, and well-developed communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as is a future-focused approach and innovative thinking.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in systems used for asset operations, including SCADA, works management systems, and asset registers. They will also have knowledge of OH&S and Environmental regulations.
