Unlock your potential as a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer in this dynamic role, where you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing and reporting geotechnical data within a structured learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Work under the guidance of senior geotechnical engineers to develop an understanding of procedures related to ground stability, monitoring/control, and mine infrastructure.
- Undertake various underground and open-pit geotechnical field work tasks, including core logging, sample collection, Q/Q'-mapping, and wall mapping.
- Conduct geotechnical data collection and analysis for ground support and stope design criteria.
- Document rock mass behavior, quality control, and quality assurance measures.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geotechnical engineers, mining engineers, geologists, environmental engineers, contractors, and consultants.
About This Opportunity- Bachelor of Engineering or Science with a Geotechnical specialisation is required.
- A minimum of 1 year experience in both underground and open-pit projects as a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer is essential.
- Developing a strong understanding of statutory requirements and excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills are highly desirable.
- The ability to learn and use mining software packages, including Deswik, Leapfrog, AcQuire, GEM4D, and Rocscience software, is necessary.
