At the heart of a thriving organization, we need a seasoned security expert to spearhead our cloud security initiatives. This role demands a forward-thinking individual who can proactively identify and mitigate risks across Microsoft-based cloud environments.

About the Position

We seek a skilled Senior Microsoft Cloud Security Analyst to join our ANZ Technology team on a permanent basis. The primary purpose of this position is to own the Group Technology security capability, which will be primarily focused on Microsoft but not limited to it only.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce critical and high-risk vulnerabilities in Microsoft cloud environments.
  • Improve Microsoft Secure Score and compliance score metrics through timely and effective remediation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless incident response and timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Deliver engaging training and awareness programs to enhance end-user security behavior.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to change management protocols.
Security Program Management:
  • Identify and communicate potential risks clearly, proposing suitable solutions to senior leadership.
  • Plan and execute recommendations from annual security audits, incident response preparation, and external checks.
  • Serve as the security design authority/architect, designing effective security solutions and reviewing proposals from other teams against set security requirements.
Endpoint Security, Identity, and Operations:
  • Proactively manage daily threats and enhance the overall security posture.
  • Administer the SIEM system, incorporating new data sources, monitoring risks, and planning interventions.
  • Ongoing identity verification for O365 accounts, Groups, SharePoint site access, and AD.
  • Monitor and manage Azure security, including threat detection, alerts, and enhancements.
  • Apply Microsoft recommendations to improve overall security scores.
  • Maintain secure End-User Computing (EUC) environments, including image management, SSL security certificates, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Purview.
Data Management:
  • Collaborate with the Data Governance team to classify and protect sensitive data.
  • Implement and manage data loss prevention policies across Microsoft 365 and cloud environments.
  • E nsure secure data lifecycle management practices are followed.
Incident Response and Remediation:
  • Work with our incident response provider to ensure readiness activities are closed out.
  • In an incident scenario, contribute as a key stakeholder for actions and data acquisition.
