We have an exciting career opportunity within our Sustainable Waste Management division for a seasoned Waste Management Consultant. You will collaborate closely with senior team members to ensure the delivery of quality environmental outcomes, practical waste management solutions, and other advisory services to internal and external clients.

  • Provide technical expertise to waste management strategies for private industry and local, state, and country governments.
  • Offer specialist technical input to due diligence assessments in the fields of environmental, market, feedstock, and technology due diligence.
  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis and review complex datasets.
  • Offer specialist input to feasibility studies, business case development, and strategic waste and recycling infrastructure planning across the private and government sectors.
  • Develop and implement waste management plans and associated documentation for developments.
  • Prepare high-quality documents that support the planning and approvals process.
  • Project manage small to medium-sized projects to produce high-quality strategy, market assessment, technology, and other advisory documentation.
  • Deliver quality reports for internal and external clients on time and within set deadlines.
  • Provide expert advice and assistance to internal and external clients, team members, and Project Managers on projects regarding best practices.
  • Contribute to securing new business by developing proposals, identifying and converting opportunities, and drawing on your client relationships.
  • Perform administrative and financial management tasks including budget preparation and providing timely responses to requests as required by project demands and timelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science or a related field.
  • 12-15+ years' practical experience in the field of Waste and Resource Recovery/Recycling management with significant demonstrated skills in the areas of waste data analysis, strategy, due diligence, market assessments, report writing, and environmental assessments.
  • Working knowledge of Australian and New Zealand environmental legislation and policies, standards, and guidelines with particular emphasis on Queensland regulations.
  • Strong capabilities in waste advisory services.
  • Proven attention to detail and diligence in project delivery.
