Disability Support Specialist

As a Disability Support Specialist, you will provide person-centered quality support services to individuals with disabilities. You will work collaboratively with clients to set and achieve goals that are important to them.
- Provide an enjoyable, respectful, and safe environment for all individuals we support.
- Support clients in their daily lives, including personal care, transportation, and medication administration.
- Assist clients in accessing community resources and engaging with activities that promote independence and well-being.
- Document client information, including progress notes and communication booklets.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
- Relevant qualifications (minimum Cert III in Disability or Individual Support).
- Strong interpersonal, role modelling, and customer service skills.
- Problem-solving abilities with an ability to adapt to changing environments.
- Understanding of and commitment to National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and Code of Conduct and Workplace Health and Safety.
- Awareness of human rights and challenges facing individuals with disabilities.
- Ability to transport clients in vehicles across the region.
- Experience in working with and supporting adults and/or children with complex disability.
