Global Macro Analyst Opportunity

Overview:
Are you interested in a career in macro analysis? We are seeking final year students or recent graduates who are passionate about the financial markets and event-driven research to join our graduate program.

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work with our senior analysts and traders to identify investment opportunities and provide in-depth analysis of future volatility events. You will be responsible for finding opportunities that other market participants may not be capitalizing on, either by discovering new information or considering existing knowledge from a different perspective. Our team works collaboratively to develop trade ideas on allocated baskets of stocks and provides real-time opinions on breaking news throughout the trading day.

Responsibilities:
- Identify and analyze investment opportunities in the equity and options markets
- Provide real-time opinions on breaking news
- Analyze upcoming catalyst events and provide opinions on the possible impacts to the market
- Collaborate with derivative traders on investment ideas
- Communicate effectively with traders and fellow analysts, relaying key information in your areas of coverage

Requirements:
- Market Enthusiasts: Keeping up to date on current events and breaking news that affect the markets is something you naturally enjoy. From company/sector specific news to macro stories, you are up to date on recent headlines.
- Effective Communicators: You enjoy building relationships with those you work closely with. You enjoy sharing ideas and expressing your thoughts based on your own research whilst combining the expert's opinion to come to the best trading decisions - excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must for this role
- Analytical + Logical: When it comes to decision making, you use clear and sound reasoning. You're rational and like to use analytical data and financial research skills to come up with sensible solutions.
- Problem Solvers: You enjoy solving puzzles and love it when you discover a solution to a difficult problem, with a demonstrated interest in strategic games and/or competitive activities.
Curious: You're excited by a career in the financial markets and the reasons why markets move in the way they do.
- Prior exposure to fundamental research is a plus.
