About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at Followmont Transport. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our fleet of heavy commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks and servicing to ensure our fleet remains at compliance standards.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
  • Perform safety inspections to ensure all systems and components meet safety standards and regulations.
  • Document all maintenance and repair work performed.
  • Communicate with operational leaders and drivers to ensure work is completed within timelines.
  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance work complies with industry standards, manufacturer specifications, and NHVR regulations.

Requirements
  • Hold a valid qualification for the repair and maintenance of heavy commercial vehicles (Certificate III in HV Mechanical Technology).
  • Proof of experience within the Heavy Diesel repair industry.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to plan workload and required parts.
  • Dedicate commitment to Safety & Quality Assurance Policies.
