AusNet's Transformation Initiative
We are seeking an experienced Transmission Lines Field Engineer to lead our Field Engineering team in advancing AusNet's Transmission lines asset intelligence.
This critical role involves being a key technical interface between AusNet's regulated Transmission lines assets and the Transmission Asset Management group. You will utilize your significant technical knowledge and experience to drive business outcomes and make real progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement periodic inspection, preventative maintenance, and corrective maintenance strategies.
- Conduct forensic analysis of asset condition and component defect.
- Analyse structural defects and manage bent members.
- Manage Lindsey Emergency Restoration Systems designs and implementation.
- Oversee transmission line condition assessment (CA) management.
- Provide technical guidance on field work groups for Transmission Lines asset equipment.
- Liaise with track and easement management teams.
- Liaise with vegetation management teams.
- Improve processes around Transmission line asset defect rectification.
- Collaborate with other teams to develop contingency plans, spares strategies, and policies.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical/Civil/Electrical Engineering or significant demonstrated transmission lines experience.
- CP Eng (preferred), CIGRE if appropriate, Victoria Professional Engineers Registration.
- Experience within utility industry with depth and breadth of knowledge in all aspects of transmission lines up to 500kV.
- Experience in strategic asset management principles and contemporary asset management systems preferred.
- Commitment to community safety and employee well-being.
- Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and develop relationships.
