Key Responsibilities

The Transmission Lines Field Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Supporting periodic inspection, preventative maintenance, and corrective maintenance strategies, procedures, and protocols
  • Forensic analysis of asset condition and component defect
  • Structural defect analysis and management including bent members
  • Management of Lindsey Emergency Restoration Systems including designs
  • Management of soxing works
  • Transmission Line Condition Assessment (CA) management
  • Technical guidance and advice for field work groups on Transmission Lines asset equipment
  • Liaison/feedback into track and easement management
  • Liaison/feedback into vegetation management
  • Improving processes around Transmission line asset defect rectification

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of technical knowledge and experience in transmission lines up to 500kV. They should also have CP Eng (preferred), CIGRE if appropriate, Victoria Professional Engineers Registration. Experience within the utility industry is highly desirable.
