Job Opportunity: Fabricator and Vehicle Builder

We are seeking experienced professionals to join our team as Fabricator and Vehicle Builders at a leading automotive manufacturer in Eagle Farm.

About the Role:

  • Construct and assemble framework sections using shaping machines and cutting/welding equipment
  • Assemble frameworks by bolting, screwing, riveting, and welding sections together
  • Cut and shape panels of sheet metal, aluminium, and reinforced plastic
  • Modify assembly line vehicles to meet special requirements
  • Prepare new vehicle trim work and remove old coverings
  • Select, cut, and sew pieces of fabric, vinyl, and leather
  • Install internal trim in vehicles
  • Attach door trims, rubber seals, locks, and handles
  • Study blueprints and specifications to determine job requirements
  • Cut metal sections and shapes using hand tools, torches, and cutting machines
  • Assemble hydraulic and pneumatic wiring systems

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of TIG and MIG welding/fabricating experience
  • Previous experience in heavy vehicle manufacturing is highly regarded
  • Ability to undergo a full medical assessment prior to commencement
  • Punctual, reliable, and strong work ethic
  • Great attention to detail
