Principal Software Quality Assurance Lead

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As Principal Software Quality Assurance Lead, you will ensure high-quality software and firmware products. You will lead a team of quality assurance engineers and drive testing practices. This role requires technical expertise, leadership, and commitment to delivering exceptional software.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA Engineers.
  • Develop and implement quality strategies, plans, and processes for new and existing features.
  • Coordinate testing efforts across squads.
  • Drive adoption and improvement of test automation frameworks and tools.
  • Collaborate with tech leads, product managers, and stakeholders to build delivery roadmaps that prioritize quality.
  • Monitor and report on testing progress, defect trends, and overall quality metrics.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in software testing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Prior experience leading or managing a team
  • Solid understanding of agile software development life cycles while supporting cross-squad roadmaps
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Robot, JUnit, TestNG). CI/CD is essential
  • Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive quality plans and processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including managing senior stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced collaborative environment
