Join to apply for the Senior Quality Engineer role at CognizantOverviewWe're looking for a passionate Senior Quality Engineer with strong communication skills, knowledge, and experience in BFS Products to perform automation, performance testing quality engineering activities and focus on the delivery of valuable outcomes and ensures alignment to client and customer needs.Mandatory Skills>4 years' experience working with API Automation tools such as RestAssured, Postman>4 years' experience with automation tool Selenium, Playwright, TOSCA and qTest>2 years' experience working with BFS Products like Temenos T24, Finacle, TAP, SIBSExperience working with AWS cloud-based and genAI solutionsExperience with agile project management tools such as JIRA/Confluence, Azure DevOps or HP ALMExperience with scripting cases in BDD/TDD/GherkinExperience with mainframe testingExpertise in performance/SVT test tooling like LoadRunner and K6, performance engineering, component-based performance testing and end-to-end performance testingStrong technical skills in one or more of CI/CD, SQL, middleware, AWS, GCP and/or messaging systemsKey metrics include response time, throughput, and error rates.
Understanding these metrics helps in identifying performance bottlenecks and optimizing system performanceGood grasp of system architecture, including hardware, network, and software components, is necessary to diagnose and resolve performance issuesExperience with banking channels like - IVR, Branch Teller, Mobile Banking, ATM and Electronic Banking ServicesExperience with retail, corporate and wealth management domainExperience in loans and collateral management, credit management systems and loan originating systemsExperience in core bankingResponsibilities5+ years' experience in quality engineering as a Senior Quality EngineerUnderstand, Analyze and Consult Business Requirements, track changes and maintenance of Business Requirements including identifying the limitations of the product and customizations viable in line with the needsEnsuring all components provide quality and maintaining compliance with client processes and governing standardsPerform quality engineering in banking domain and systems including understanding of the entire client application landscapePerform file based and API TestingDevelop and execute Selenium/TOSCA Automation ScriptsReview and understand the software system specifications to identify performance requirements.Create performance test cases and scripts that cover a variety of scenarios to simulate real-world usage.Conduct performance testing to assess system reliability, capacity, and scalability.Monitor system performance during tests and analyse the results to identify bottlenecks and performance issues.Work closely with developers to ensure performance standards are met and to implement necessary improvements.Prepare detailed reports on performance metrics and provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders using confluence.Develop and execute APIsExecute SQL queries based on the requirements and fetch the data from databasesPrepare scripts for GUI, Business Functionality Testing, System Integration, User Acceptance, including Regression testing for Web and Mobile ApplicationsWork in AGILE methodology project and part of scrum calls on daily basis.DetailsSalary Range: >100,000Date of Posting: 19/August/2025Cognizant is committed to providing Equal Employment Opportunities.
