Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and solution-focused Senior Education Project Coordinator to join our team at the Department of Education, Western Australia.

About the Role

The successful candidate will support the implementation of system strategies and priorities, as well as the development and delivery of professional learning and resources that strengthen the capability of the teaching profession.

In this role, you will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support the development, delivery, and implementation of Department policies and initiatives. You will manage individual projects, work autonomously, and collaborate in providing project management support across the branch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, record, and analyze data and program evaluations to inform future planning and reporting.
  • Support and coordinate the provision of subject matter expertise to inform system responses, including preparing Ministerial responses, briefing notes, memos, reports, submissions, correspondence, and presentations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in providing administrative services, including experience in technical systems and databases support, executive services, and administering and reporting on financial systems and budgets.
  • Well-developed written communication skills and the ability to prepare correspondence, briefing notes, and guidelines.
  • Well-developed verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with people at all levels and to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Well-developed conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to identify and clarify issues and generate strategies to address them.
  • Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
