Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist
About the RoleThe primary function of this position is to ensure accurate and timely billing of patient accounts across health funds and third-party providers following discharge. This role requires close collaboration with the supervisor and team members to achieve financial business operations and contribute to hospital goals.
This position demands a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail within the Patient Services Department. The successful candidate will be mature, proactive, and possess exceptional customer service and communication skills.
The role requires the ability to exercise empathy, sound judgment, and discretion while managing multiple tasks independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Process patient receipts accurately and efficiently.
- Follow up on outstanding debts and reconcile accounts promptly.
- Ensure seamless liaison with health funds and third-party organisations.
The ideal candidate will have strong clerical and administrative skills, complemented by well-developed interpersonal abilities and excellent customer service and communication skills.
They will also possess computer literacy, including accurate and efficient keyboard skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
A proven track record of planning, prioritizing, and managing workload with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential for success in this role.
