About the Position

This is a temporary opening for an Expressions of Interest, with no assurance of extension beyond 12 months.

Job Summary

The Technical Officer will provide expert technical advice and assistance to maximise the potential of ICT operations within the organisation. This includes acquisition, installation, operation, maintenance, repair and replacement of hardware and software systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to staff and students on computer facilities and equipment.
  • Maintain a range of technical services and records related to the support of ICT infrastructure.
  • Communicate with stakeholders on technical matters and provide advice as required.
Requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong client focus and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Technical knowledge of server hardware and configuration, networking peripherals, PC desktop and laptop systems, Apple iPads, printer support, Local Area Networks, Wide Area Networks, network security and security protocols.
