Job Overview

At Rocket Academy, we're dedicated to empowering the next generation of creators and innovators. As an Afterschool Coding Educator, you'll play a vital role in delivering engaging, hands-on coding and robotics classes for primary school students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead interactive coding and robotics classes using LEGO kits and Scratch coding, fostering creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Inspire students to explore STEM fields through inquiry-based learning, making every class both fun and educational.
  • Prepare, deliver, and support lessons with provided curriculum, ensuring kits and devices are maintained and ready for each session.
  • Act as a positive role model and mentor for young learners, promoting confidence and motivation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC) – required
  • A car and valid driver's licence – essential for travel to schools and venues
  • Background in working with children (teaching, tutoring, coaching, or mentoring)
  • Ability to engage and motivate students in a group setting
  • Knowledge or interest in STEM, coding, or robotics – highly regarded
