Bar Operations Manager

Description

In this dynamic role, you will lead a team of bar staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences. As a Bar Operations Manager at our restaurant, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the bar, including inventory management, ordering, stock control and stock takes. Your leadership skills will guide the team in providing outstanding service and a vibrant atmosphere that keeps guests coming back.

You will oversee all aspects of the bar, ensuring compliance with alcohol-related regulations and guidelines are up to standard. This includes crafting and updating beverage menus, working closely with your operations manager to ensure a diverse and innovative selection of drinks.

In addition to managing the bar, you will also be responsible for monitoring the dining area to ensure exceptional guest service and a welcoming atmosphere. You will address guest concerns, feedback, and requests promptly and professionally, while collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure seamless coordination between the kitchen and the floor.

Your focus on operational efficiency will see you manage daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and reconciliation. You will maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as coordinate events and ensure all staff members are adequately prepared.

Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of effectively managing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of bar operations, cocktail preparation, and beverage trends.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make swift decisions.
  • Proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
