About the Role

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Support Workers at Just Better Care Canberra & South Coast. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality in-home support services to our valued customers, enabling them to live their best life possible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist with showering, dressing, grooming, and medication management to ensure our customers' physical and emotional well-being.
  • Domestic Assistance: Provide light household cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation services to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Social Support/Transportation: Accompany customers to social activities, shopping, and medical appointments, promoting social interaction and community engagement.
  • Equipment Assistance: Support customers in the use of aids and personal equipment, such as standing or walking frames, wheelchairs, and hearing aids.
  • Complex Needs Support: Provide specialized care and support to customers with complex and challenging needs, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Wellness Monitoring: Regularly monitor customers' progress and report on their well-being to our team.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in staff meetings and attend training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check: Hold a valid NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Criminal Record Check: Have a current and clear criminal record check.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination Status: Provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination status.
  • First Aid Certificate: Hold a current First Aid certificate and CPR certification.
  • Driver's Licence: Possess a current Australian or International Driver's Licence.
  • Vehicle Requirements: Have a reliable, registered, and comprehensively insured vehicle.
  • Smartphone and Internet: Own a smartphone with internet access.
  • Working with Vulnerable People Check: Hold a current Working with Vulnerable People Check (ACT only).
  • Qualifications: Hold a minimum Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support, or Disability Services (preferred).
