About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate National Intake Clinician to join our team at Redkite. As a key member of our Cancer Hub, you will be the first point of contact for individuals and families accessing our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough intake assessments and triage via telephone or virtual platforms to ensure timely support for families.
  • Provide accurate information about our services and deliver short-term interventions as needed to meet the unique needs of each family.
  • Adhere to intake procedures, policies, and referral pathways to ensure seamless coordination of care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our client management system.
  • Respond promptly to ad-hoc chat requests and engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including Alliance Partners and external agencies, to support service integration and collaboration.
  • Attend and contribute to meetings with Alliance Partners to drive service improvement and innovation.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, supervision sessions, and professional development activities to ensure a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Collaborate across Cancer Hub, Canteen, Camp Quality, and Redkite to share best practices and drive excellence in service delivery.
  • Support the development and implementation of intake-related policies and procedures to ensure compliance with organizational standards and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with relevant professional bodies (e.g., AHPRA, AASW, ACA, PACFA, OTA, APS).
  • Experience in intake roles or similar positions, preferably in healthcare or social services.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Commitment to delivering client-centered care and upholding organizational values.
