Financial Reporting Specialist

The Mine Accountant plays a pivotal role in providing accurate and timely financial accounting information to internal stakeholders, ensuring operational and corporate requirements are met. This involves management and financial accounting, capital expenditure evaluation and management, budgeting and forecasting, contract evaluation, production and project reporting.
This position requires the ability to deliver month end processing and reporting for operational and capital expenditure, provide timely and accurate cost accruals, assist in the preparation of monthly and yearly budgets and forecasts, mentor cost owners in cost control, accruals and commercial responsibilities, and assist the commercial team to improve commercial systems and prepare staff training sessions.
About You- Tertiary qualifications in commerce or equivalent are essential, along with holding CPA or CA qualifications (or in progress).
- You will have strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to liaise with key internal and external stakeholders.
- A demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and problem solve is also required.
- A sound understanding of information systems and processes is necessary, along with the ability to utilise Microsoft Office effectively.
