Job OverviewWe are seeking a culturally sensitive community liaison professional to join our team in Red Hill, QLD. As a permanent part-time position (15.2 hours per week), this role will involve working collaboratively with Centre Managers to enhance cultural competency and improve the experience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples at AOD sites across QLD.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development of appropriate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander resources and training programs.
- Lead and/or support yarning or learning circles that align with the Cultural Capability and Competency Framework elements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure a culturally safe environment.
- Provide input to the clinical team to ensure case plans address cultural needs.
- Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
- Relevant degree and experience, or less formal qualifications with specialized skills.
- Demonstrated experience engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities, and service providers.
- Demonstrated understanding of contemporary issues affecting Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islander people.
