Director of Genomics Research

We are seeking a highly skilled Director to lead our Centre for Population and Disease Genomics. As a renowned expert in the field, you will be responsible for shaping the strategic direction of the Centre, leading high-quality research, and cultivating strong collaborations with industry, government, and professional contacts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of researchers to conduct cutting-edge research in population and disease genomics
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive innovation and growth within the Centre
  • Secure external funding and generate revenue through various funding streams
  • Cultivate strong relationships with industry, government, and professional contacts to support research outcomes
Requirements:
  • PhD (or equivalent) with demonstrated expertise and a strong research track record in population and disease genomics
  • Established national and international networks, along with strong relationships with industry, government, and professional contacts
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster an innovative, inclusive, and productive workplace
