Job Opportunity: Forklift Operator

We are seeking a skilled and reliable forklift operator to join our team at our steel manufacturing yard in Huntingwood. As a forklift operator, you will play a vital role in loading, unloading, and transporting steel building materials.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport steel building materials efficiently and safely.
  • Assist with general yard operations including stock handling, stacking, and material movement.
  • Manual cutting and preparation of steel products with precision and care.
  • Maintain yard and warehouse organization to ensure smooth operation.
  • Uphold workplace health & safety standards at all times, prioritizing employee well-being.

Requirements:

  • A valid forklift license is mandatory for this role.
  • Competence in operating Counterbalance and Combilift (side-load) forklifts is essential.
  • Experience with Hubtex forklifts is preferred but not necessary.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, steel, or yard environment is required.
  • Candidates must be physically fit and capable of performing manual labor.
  • Australian working rights are mandatory, including citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid visa.
  • Reliable transportation to Huntingwood is necessary.
  • Punctuality, a focus on safety, and dependability are crucial for success in this role.
  • Applicants must be 18 years or older and able to pass a VOC check onsite before starting work.
