Dynamic Social Work Leader

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated leader for our social work team to provide skilled, effective, and timely support to clients and their carers. This role requires a passion for social work and commitment to upholding the values of the profession.

The ideal candidate will have a recognized tertiary qualification in social work and eligibility for membership to AASW. They should be able to demonstrate strong leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to maintain a part-time caseload and participate in service planning and monitoring.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the provision of high-quality, evidence-based social work services that maintain the values and standards of the organization and comply with relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Provide management, development, professional supervision, and leadership to the social work team across all areas of clinical specialty.
  • Maintain a part-time caseload and provide skilled, effective, and timely social work services to clients and their carers.
  • Develop and implement social work service development plans to identify trends, issues, service needs, team knowledge and skills development, best practice improvements, etc.
  • Participate in service planning, implementation, and monitoring within clinical units/services and across departments/other service portfolio areas.
  • Ensure all internal and external compliance and reporting requirements relating to the provision of social work services are met.

Requirements:

  • Recognized tertiary qualification in social work and eligibility for membership to AASW.
  • Current working rights in Australia (citizenship, permanent residency, or appropriate working visa).
  • Commitment to engage and align with the organization's mission.
