Defense Cost Management Specialist

Effective project management requires expertise in cost control and strategic planning. As a senior defense professional, you will be responsible for developing cost estimates and capital plans through the design phase of projects.
Key Responsibilities- Highly skilled in pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying including cost analysis, commercial management, variation and claims management, and monitoring project budgets.
- Develop cost estimates and capital plans through the design phase of projects, delivering updated plans at key milestones.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and estimate packages, regularly presenting to stakeholders.
- Provide expert input to design optioneering and value engineering exercises.
- Deliver high-quality work and position for future opportunities.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lead and manage junior team members.
- Defense clearance or Australian citizenship required.
- Quantity surveying degree or related field.
- More than 5 years' experience.
- Australasian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS) or Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) membership preferred but not essential.
- Experience with CostX software is advantageous.
