About the Role:

The Voith Group is a leading global technology company that sets standards in the markets of energy, paper, raw materials, and transport & automotive. As a Site Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the erection of the Balance of Plant Mechanical (Bo Pm) scope of the Snowy project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and optimize work scope to ensure safe, quality, and on-time completion of the project.
  • Prepare installation work packages and participate in the development of optimization methods for assembly.
  • Request and ensure availability of materials and tooling at the work front.
  • Analyze and identify potential safety and quality risks, and mitigate them in planning and execution.
  • Effectively communicate work plans with subcontractors and monitor progress.
  • Identify non-conformities and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Proactively identify, report, and document scope deviations, risks, and chances.
  • Collect One Point Lessons (OPL) and report improvement opportunities.
  • Review subcontractor's labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Establish a safe working environment and support the site team with quality management.

Requirements:

  • Ability to drive project success with a focus on HSE, quality, schedule, and budget.
  • Previous experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role in large hydro power projects or similar industries.
  • Construction and/or E&M experience is required.
  • Proficient technical and operational knowledge of balance of plant mechanical systems.
  • Collaborative team player with a customer- and people-oriented approach, accountable, and solution-driven.
  • Proactive mindset in anticipating challenges and delivering strategic problem-solving solutions.
  • Fully computer literate with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English in an international team environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Able to pass pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol test, and police check.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and climb as necessary.
  • Ability to work in an underground environment for an extended period.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
