Job Title: Cleaning and Maintenance Specialist

About the Role:

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure all facilities at West HQ are clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times. This involves performing cleaning duties both indoors and outdoors across the precinct.

About You:

We are looking for someone who can cope with the physical demands of the role, which requires repeated lifting, bending, crouching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, sitting, and standing for extended periods. A team player who can work independently and maintain a high level of presentation is ideal for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning facilities, including floors, walls, windows, and equipment
  • Maintaining cleanliness of outdoor areas, including parking lots and smoking areas
  • Using cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and efficiently
  • Reporting any maintenance or repair issues to the relevant authorities

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of and experience in using cleaning equipment and chemical use
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Current RSA Competency Card (or willingness to obtain one)
  • A helpful and friendly attitude
  • Flexibility towards work and role
  • Attention to detail
  • Willingness to work outdoors (heat, sun, rain, wind)
  • Willingness to work in a smoking environment
  • Willingness to work afternoons, nights, overnights, weekends, and public holidays
  • Full Australian working rights
