Position Overview

We are in search of a Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Systems Architect with a minimum NV1 security clearance. This role involves the development and management of a cohesive RHEL server environment to guarantee the effective and dependable operation of our IT framework. You will be responsible for the design, testing, deployment, and maintenance of RHEL operating systems, ensuring their integration with VMware virtualization technologies and other relevant systems. Success in this position demands robust technical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and a dedication to delivering superior Linux solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a unified RHEL server environment, incorporating RHEL IdM and Satellite.
  • Design, test, and implement new iterations of the RHEL operating system, creating and sustaining system images.
  • Integrate RHEL operating systems with VMware virtualization technologies and additional systems.
  • Support and integrate management and security software configurations for RHEL environments.
  • Automate server operations to enhance efficiency and streamline processes.
  • Conduct regular assessments to verify system health, including both hardware and software components.
  • Establish and manage backup and recovery solutions for virtualized RHEL systems.
  • Quickly troubleshoot and resolve RHEL-related issues to minimize service interruptions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum NV1 clearance, with NV2 or PV being preferable.
  • A background in Defence or Federal Government is highly advantageous.
  • Expertise in RHEL server environments, including RHEL IdM and Satellite.
  • Experience in the design, testing, and deployment of RHEL operating systems.
  • Knowledge of integration with VMware virtualization technologies and other systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with server automation tools and methodologies for Linux environments.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality Linux solutions.
