Driver Academy for Women: Career Advancement Opportunity

Cleanaway, a leading waste management organization, is seeking a motivated individual to participate in our Driver Academy for Women. This intensive training program is designed to equip female-identifying and non-binary persons with the skills and knowledge required to become a Heavy Rigid (HR) licensed truck driver.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in a 5-week paid training program, including licencing and other training required to become a HR licensed truck driver
- Complete a buddy driver program and receive ongoing coaching and mentoring
- Work in a team environment, providing excellent customer service and adhering to safety protocols
- Perform multi-stop pickups and deliveries of bins and sharps collectors along an assigned daily run
- Load and unload trucks, scan products as delivered and collected, and liaise with customers
- Hold a current unrestricted driver's licence for a minimum of 24 months
- Driving History Check with a minimum of 8 demerit points remaining
- No heavy vehicle driving experience required
- Passionate about working as a team and committed to safety
- Excellent customer service ethic and resilient attitude
- All training provided, including uniforms and PPE
- Mentoring during the first 12 months
