Key Responsibilities- Risk Management: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities, assess potential impact, and prioritize remediation efforts.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement risk mitigation strategies and controls.
- Cyber Security Governance: Establish and enforce cyber security policies, standards, and procedures to govern the organization's information assets and infrastructure.
- Audit and Compliance: Coordinate internal and external audits to validate the effectiveness of security controls and processes and address audit findings and implement corrective actions.
- Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on cyber security best practices, policies, and procedures. Conduct regular security awareness campaigns to reinforce a proactive security posture.
- Emerging Threats: Identify potential risks and develop proactive measures to mitigate them.
- Secure Architecture: Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement secure architecture for the organization's digital infrastructure, systems, and applications.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and engage key stakeholders through open communication and discussions, serving as a central point of contact. Develop, maintain, and execute stakeholder engagement strategies and plans to foster effective collaboration and maintain strong relationships.
- Cost Optimization: Seek cost reductions through consolidation and optimization of resources and systems.
- Cyber Security Strategy: Develop and execute a robust cyber security strategy aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.
- Certifications: Advanced degrees and relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are highly desirable.
- Experience: Extensive experience (7+ years) in cyber security management, including leading security programs in complex organizations.
- Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of cyber security principles, technologies, and best practices. In-depth understanding of security frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Incident Response: Proven experience in incident response, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and risk assessment.
- Leadership: Able to influence across a leadership team and adhere to the highest ethical standards.
- Customer Focus: Proven customer focus, interpersonal, and communications skills to ensure consistent messages are communicated to internal customers/stakeholders.
