KBR's Infrastructure Solutions Australia business is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Team Lead to join our team in a Technical Lead role for Transmission & Distribution projects.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $180,000-$220,000 AUD.

Job Description

This key leadership position involves providing technical direction and guidance to project teams, enhancing the technical skills of electrical engineers through training and support, particularly in transmission line design. You will operate under the general guidance of the National Electrical Lead, serving as the primary contact for technical matters related to design, scoping, budgeting, and project oversight from feasibility to detailed design phases.

As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and administering engineering, procurement, planning, construction, commissioning, and project closeout activities. Your extensive experience in designing and managing transmission and distribution projects in Australia is essential for this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications at degree level in electrical engineering or a relevant discipline.
  • A minimum of 15-20 years of experience in the transmission and distribution sector.
  • Extensive experience in relevant infrastructure project development and delivery.
  • Subject Matter Expertise in transmission & distribution.
  • Leadership experience in leading and managing design and development teams.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer accreditation highly regarded.
  • A strong professional network in the utilities and renewable energy zone (REZ) space.
