Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Philip Kennedy Centre, working within a large supportive Residential Care team. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and deliver high-quality nursing care to our clients, working closely with the Care Manager and Residential Services Manager.
- Lead and supervise support provision for daily living, ensuring each resident's care and service plan is implemented effectively.
- Assess resident's condition and functional ability, identifying and managing risks, and ensuring optimal use of medications.
- Provide leadership, direction, support, mentoring, and coaching to Personal Carers, Enrolled Nurses, Hotel Service staff, Lifestyle, Maintenance, and Administration staff on each shift.
- Ensure clear and succinct handovers from shift to shift, with relevant documentation in the 7-day handover sheet.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse who possesses the following qualities:
- Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration as an Registered Nurse.
- At least 1-2 years of experience working as an Registered Nurse in an Aged Care Environment.
- Sound communication skills, with a level of English literacy that enables you to speak in a manner that older people can understand.
- Exceptional time management skills to manage own workload and support other staff.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills to balance supporting resident's desire for independence and self-determination against potential risks and duty of care.
