The role of an Assistant Company Secretary is crucial in ensuring good governance and supporting the effectiveness of the board and its committees. The successful candidate will play a vital part in our Legal, Audit, Risk Compliance, CoSec and Sustainability teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the establishment of Board committees and drafting committee charters.
- Perform the duties and responsibilities of an Assistant Company Secretary to various subsidiary boards and committees within the Perpetual Group as required by the Corporations Act, the ASX Listing Rule, the Companies' Constitutions and any other relevant legislation or regulation.
- Plan board business in conjunction with the Company Secretary and board Chairs.
Requirements:
- Graduate qualification in commerce, business, governance or law.
- Associate or Fellow of Governance Institute of Australia.
- Between 3 and 4 years experience in the delivery of corporate secretariat and governance services to ASX listed companies together with a sound understanding of corporate governance principles and corporate statutory obligations under the Corporations Act and the ASX Listing Rules.
