Job Title: Frontline Support Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative individual to provide vital support to our frontline services, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and efficient program delivery.

This is a multifaceted role designed to deliver intensive engagement, treatment, supervision, and outreach services aimed at reducing recidivism rates after detention. Intensive support services will be provided for young people experiencing drug and alcohol issues during their time in detention, with extended community-based support for 12 months.

Youth will have access to evidence-based counselling to help them reduce drug use, improve mental health, and decrease involvement in crime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Intake and Referral Duties: Manage the intake process from assessment to entry, acting as the first point of contact for potential clients and referrers, and ensuring timely referrals.
  • Administration Duties: Assist with handling enquiries, liaise with staff members, coordinate meetings, manage calendars, and maintain office supplies.
  • Program Support: Work with young people between 12 and 25 years old, develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, and commit to harm minimization principles.
Requirements
  • Experience in administration and working with young people.
  • Proven organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills.
  • A current Australian driver's licence and valid Queensland Blue Card.
