Trade Assistant Job DescriptionAbout the Role

We are seeking a skilled Trade Assistant to join our team in Western Australia.

The ideal candidate will have a sound mechanical background and be able to work independently or as part of a team.

The role involves performing general yard duties, cleaning and detailing trucks and mobile plant equipment, assisting mechanics on-site and in the workshop, loading and unloading using a forklift, and driving to pick up and drop off parts.

  • Cleaning and maintaining vehicles and equipment
  • Providing support to mechanics and other tradespeople
  • Loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently
  • Driving company vehicles to collect and deliver parts
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and repairs of vehicles and equipment
  • Assisting with inventory management and stock control
  • Ensuring workplace safety and adhering to regulations
  • Developing skills and knowledge in trade assistance
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong mechanical background and understanding of vehicle maintenance
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A valid driver's license and Forklift license
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use company software
