Based in Toowoomba, this role is ideal for electricians who are open to regular travel.

Job Overview

This field-based position involves working outdoors and occasionally on the road at unusual hours. You will be part of a high-performing team responsible for maintaining and servicing utility-scale battery sites in the Chinchilla/Western Downs region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment as defined by the service engineering team.
  • Perform complex and precise electro-mechanical debugging, rework, and repairs, executing tasks that require a high level of skill and patience.
  • Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and LV/MV/HV testing equipment for effective diagnosis and troubleshooting.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certified Electrician (Cert III (3)+ in Electrical/Electro Technology).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience, with at least 3 years' electrical maintenance experience, ideally within the Utility sector (Solar/Wind/Transmission experience is preferred).
  • Must have up-to-date Electrical Registration/License.
  • Must have HV switching experience.
  • SCADA operating experience is a plus.
