Maintenance Fitter Job Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our team. As a key member of our workforce, you will play a crucial role in carrying out preventative maintenance, servicing, and day-to-day repairs on equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular maintenance on plant equipment, including hammermill shredders, conveyor systems, balers, and metal sorters.
  • Work according to a daily schedule and maintain relevant records.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality protocols.

Requirements:

  • Trade qualified Fitter & Turner with experience in conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and gearboxes.
  • Basic arc welding and oxy cutting skills would be advantageous.
  • A current driver's license is required.
  • Hands-on experience in an industrial or metal processing environment would be beneficial.
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
