Maintenance Technician - Electrical Expert

Discover a challenging opportunity for an experienced Electrician to join the team as a Maintenance Technician.

The role involves providing electrical maintenance support for machinery, equipment, and services to achieve optimal production and customer service.

In addition to all aspects of electrical maintenance, the position ensures safe work practices are followed at all times and adheres to established company policies and procedures.

The successful candidate should possess a minimum requirement of an EW5 Trade classification with experience in pneumatics, electronic drives, and control systems, excellent knowledge of PLCs, and strong fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities. They must be able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

The Maintenance Technician role includes but is not limited to:

  1. Complying with and practicing safety protocols, ensuring knowledge of procedures and safety education is current.
  2. Disassembling, assessing, repairing, and reassembling machines, equipment, and components.
  3. Understanding, supporting, promoting, and complying with Production Management Systems.
  4. Maintaining equipment condition and reliability to achieve company quality and safety targets.
  5. Experience in using CMMS and other maintenance/reliability tools and practices.
  6. Providing site support outside of normal working hours as required.
  7. Playing a pivotal role in developing and executing efficient preventative maintenance practices.
  8. Ensuring timely action and satisfactory completion of PM work as specified by OEMs.
  9. Providing technical support to the Maintenance and Production teams.
  10. Assisting with ordering components and liaising with suppliers as necessary with appropriate approval.
  11. Working as directed by managerial and supervisory staff.
