Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to oversee the implementation of all site safety and ensure all procedures are monitored according to the Project Safety Management Plan. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring progress of works against the current construction program, managing and coaching staff effectively, and overseeing the quality of trade works to ensure the required standard is achieved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the implementation of all site safety and ensure all procedures are monitored according to the Project Safety Management Plan
  • Monitor progress of works against the current construction program and ensure all trades are coordinating with each other
  • Manage and coach staff effectively, leading the team in achieving project and personal goals
  • Oversee, coach and mentor the works of the Site Supervision team
  • Schedule and coordinate other site staff (e.g., admin) with priority issues / tasks being identified and actioned
  • Oversee the quality of trade works to ensure the required standard is achieved in all cases
  • Issue site instructions and other correspondence as required to trade contractors and consultants
  • Liaise with the Client and ensure a long-standing relationship is maintained
  • Report to senior management on a regular basis and advise of any current or potential issues
Requirements
  • Trade or tertiary qualification in Building, Construction or Engineering
  • Current Senior First Aid
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • High level ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Well-developed planning skills including industry knowledge regarding lead times for delivery and trade works
  • Strong leadership and management skills and the ability to motivate and develop teams and individuals
  • Knowledge of the work of construction trades and ability to assess quality of workmanship
