Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Cystic Fibrosis Specialist Nurse to join our team at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a meaningful contribution to the care and well-being of patients with cystic fibrosis.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless delivery of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert nursing care to patients with cystic fibrosis, including medication management, respiratory therapy, and nutritional support
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and goals
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including doctors, physiotherapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to privacy protocols
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices
Requirements
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Current practicing certificate
  • Knowledge of cystic fibrosis pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment options
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality patient care, with a focus on patient-centeredness and cultural sensitivity
