Job Title: Operational Leader

We are seeking an experienced and operationally focused leader to join our team in Adelaide. This leadership opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about people management, operational efficiency, and delivering exceptional customer outcomes.

This role involves leading a team to meet and exceed individual and team key performance indicators (KPIs) through structured coaching, mentoring, and performance management.

Foster a positive team culture that prioritises first-call resolution, customer satisfaction, and compliance. Manage workflow queues and resourcing to meet service level agreements and business requirements.

Identify process inefficiencies and drive data-informed solutions for operational improvements and automation. Provide clear direction, feedback, and development opportunities to build capability and engagement within your team.

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams such as quality, compliance, process design, and external stakeholders including providers and government bodies.

Analyse data and reporting to identify performance trends, risks, and improvement opportunities. Contribute to strategic decision-making and ensure alignment with company values and regulatory obligations.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience leading large operational teams in complex environments—preferably within health insurance, financial services, or banking.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive high performance through effective coaching and leadership.
  • Strong understanding of operational management, including resource planning, performance tracking, and workflow optimisation.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style.
  • Experience in navigating regulatory and compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to prioritise and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, both internal and external.
