Product Quality Specialist

This position is responsible for driving operational excellence across our Concrete & Aggregates and Masonry divisions. It requires a strong focus on ensuring consistent quality through effective management of the ISO9001 system.
The successful candidate will provide product subject matter expertise to regional technical teams, establish best practice quality guidelines, and identify and drive key improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert guidance to regional technical teams on product-related matters.
- Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure consistent quality standards.
- Establish clear guidelines for inspection, batching controls, mix design, contract review processes, adoption of QEST, and training materials.
- Identify areas for improvement and drive initiatives to optimize product quality.
- Monitor progress against established goals and report outcomes.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a technical role within the construction materials industry.
- Engineering or materials science degree preferred but not essential.
- Proven track record of managing continuous improvement programs an advantage.
- Working knowledge of QEST laboratory information management system required.
- Thorough understanding of Australian Standards, Infrastructure Specifications, and Low Carbon Concrete guidelines necessary.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to interpret trends in data and make informed decisions.
- Commercial acumen with ability to optimize products and processes.
