Job Overview:

The Leisure Attendant role is a casual position at our aquatic centre. The primary objective of the Learn to Swim program is to teach children essential water safety skills over 11 levels, catering for children from 6 months up to 17 years old.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide a safe, fun and educational environment for students while adhering to all workplace policies and instructions
  • Deliver professional instruction and determine students' competency and skill levels, motivating them to progress through the learning stages
  • Maintain accurate records related to student progress in the swimming program
Essential Qualifications:
  • AUSTSWIM, Royal Life Saving Society Australia or Swimming Australia Certificate - Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety (or equivalent)
  • CPR Award or RLSSA Pool Lifeguard Award
