Energy Systems Development Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Energy Systems Development Engineer to play a pivotal role in delivering our Market Analysis to Network Analysis (MANA) platform.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing robust back-end infrastructure, building intuitive graphical user interfaces, updating existing tool code, collaborating with Power System Engineers, documenting processes, and providing support for our internal platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement efficient algorithms and data structures for power system analysis tools.
  • Develop user-friendly interfaces for engineers to execute simulations and visualize results.
  • Refactor existing Python code to ensure scalability and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new features and ensure compatibility.
  • Document technical processes and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
Requirements
  • Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in data management, automation, and GUI development.
  • Familiarity with power system modelling tools, such as PSSE, PSCAD, or SCADA/EMS.
  • Knowledge of version control systems, test-driven development, and domain modelling.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • A passion for solving complex energy challenges and a collaborative mindset.
