Deliver Comprehensive Social Work Services


  • Overview: This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Social Work Department based across the Tweed Valley, Murwillumbah District and Byron Central Hospitals.

This casual position involves providing comprehensive social work assessment and intervention as an integral part of the multidisciplinary healthcare team for patients/clients of the Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD).


As a skilled social worker, you will contribute to the development and implementation of care plans that address the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of our patients/clients.


About The Role
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient/client needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Provide direct services to patients/clients, including counseling, education, and support.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:


  • Qualifications: Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent qualification.

  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
